West Virginia teachers plan walkout Thursday & Friday

School teachers and public employees in West Virginia are planning a statewide walkout as they continue to protest low pay, projected hikes in health insurance costs and small proposed pay hikes.

The City of Marietta is closing roads to the public due to the high water.

The Wood County 911 reports the following roads in Wood and Wirt counties are closed becuase of high water as of noon on Saturday.

First responders are currently attempting to rescue a person trapped inside a vehicle surrounded by water near Sams Creek and Big Tygart Creek roads in Mineral Wells.
