Yes, it's true I've found myself in quite the pickle! And as much as I love pickles, this is a type of pickle I'm not that fond of.
Well, as many of you know I'm a BIG, BIG, BIG Ohio State football fan. Growing up my family would always sit around together and watch the football games, which are some of my fondest childhood memories.
Well, tomorrow (September 2, 2010) is the season opener for the Buckeyes and they're playing my Alma Mater, Marshall University.
Here's the pickle I'm in... do I cheer for The Thundering Herd for whom I cheered for the past four years, quite loudly I might add when we played WVU. :) Or do I cheer for the Buckeyes for whom have always had a special place in my heart since I can remember?
Now, I must bring up a valid point, while I was in Huntington I caught a lot of grief from folks for loving the Buckeyes, which I must admit sort of left a bad taste in my mouth now I look back deciding on whom I should cheer for come tomorrow.
I can see pros and cons for both, but I have been told by one of my friends he "wouldn't approve of my green and white" if I just so happened to wear it tomorrow.
I really wish I could find a shirt that was half Marshall and half Ohio State.
So Mid-Ohio Valley along with my fellow OSU and Marshall fans.. what would you do?
I'm sure when tomorrow at 7 p.m. rolls around I'll have made up my mind.. but you all will just have to wait and see who I am cheering for!
P.S. I would like to thank two of my friends, Connie and Dave, who made me the cutest Buckeye necklaces and a bracelet. :)
