In my book, not much beats a relaxing Sunday brunch. The thing is, you have to find the perfect brunch spot!
My favorite brunch spot for the past year has been The Galley in Marietta. The food is great, the prices are relatively cheap, and the best part is in the summertime you can sit outside. Plus, it's within walking distance from church so that makes it even better!
But sadly, recently the Galley decided to change their hours and do away with brunch all together. The woman who answered the phone when I called to see if this rumor was true said she wasn't sure why they were eliminating brunch, only that it was the owners decision.
So now I begin my quest for a new brunch spot in the Mid-Ohio Valley. It's tricky to find because you're not always sure who offers brunch and who doesn't, and the atmosphere to me is almost as important as the food. I prefer to go to locally owned and unique establishments rather than chain restaurants so that narrows things down as well.
So, if you have a Sunday brunch suggestion for me to try I would be glad to hear it! Of course, if The Galley brings brunch back in the meantime, you'll find me there.
