Seven Pounds...Too Much

My opinion on the movie Seven Pounds.

I'm a huge movie lover. I'm the type of person that uses at least one movie quote in my daily dialogue.
So this weekend my brother and his fiance, talk about feeling like a third wheel,  came to visit and on the agenda was watching a good movie. Now my brother, usually has a pretty good taste in movies so when he picked up the movie Seven Pounds starring Will Smith, I thought sure I heard it was good.

I don't know who I heard that from, but I would totally disagree.
Seven Pounds was far too long and drawn out.
Now if you like a movie that keeps you guessing all the way to the last 20 minutes maybe you will like this.
I usually am always up for a good suspenseful flick but this was just too slow, it made me feel frustrated. I only finished the movie because I was so stubborn that I made myself finish it.

The movie is about and IRS agent, Will Smith that has a fateful secret and embarks on an extraordinary journey of changing the lives of seven strangers.

Will Smith, does give a strong performance, but he should, he has been around long enough to pull out a decent performance. And I'm not criticizing Smith I have been a long time fan ever since his days of  Fresh Prince.

Rosario Dawson, is the love interest in the film. I like Dawson I think she is a strong actress but I feel like the dialogue in the movie didn't give her enough of a character.

So all in all, Seven Pounds came up far too short for me. I had high hopes for the film because of the strong actors and actress, but I felt like the movie was good in theory but lacked in creative directing and writing.

If you have seen Seven Pounds or have seen a good or bad movie lately let me know.
