You know you've had a busy weekend when Monday morning rolls around and you're looking forward to work so you can RELAX!
This past weekend my mother and I went on a wedding planning rampage!
The main reason why we try to knock out as much as possible whenever I'm up in Akron is because I'm in school, have a full-time job and the wedding is actually in Akron!
This past weekend started with me driving up north immediately after work. I got home with enough time to switch cars, visit my grandma who is currently in the hospital, and then my mom and I traveled another forty-five minutes north to get to my first dress fitting!
The fitting was very exciting! Believe it or not, the dress of my dreams fit me perfectly other than a hem and bustle!
Next, the search was on for the perfect dress for mother-of-the-bride!
The funny thing about that is I knew from the first time I found my dress online, I HAD TO HAVE IT! My mom, on the other hand, had no idea what she wanted so her dress search was harder than mine!
Believe it or not, my mom found her dress, it's gorgeous and she doesn't need alterations either!
We went to dinner, got home around ten and I went to bed at ten-thirty (after being up since two-fifteen that morning)!
The next morning we got up early and the hunt was on to find me a slip, short veil (I'm wearing my mom's veil from her wedding during the ceremony but it's cathedral length so I need a shorter one for the reception!), shoes and jewelry for the bridesmaids and all kinds of little things.
We went shopping for HOURS and then went to mass, dinner and back to the hospital. That evening we went over the proper "etiquette" we wanted on the wedding invitations.
The next morning, Jason drove up from Marietta and we had our engagement photo shoot. About fifty "natural" poses and two hundred pictures later, that was done and we were on our way back to Marietta!
The weekend was super hectic but I absolutely love how everything is coming together!
August 22nd isn't too far away and I'm sure the closer it gets, the more jam packed my weekend's are going to get!
