Not Just Yet...

Allison Rhea blogs about why her back surgery has temporarily been moved to the back burner.

I know, I know, I just said in last week's blog that you wouldn't be seeing me at the anchor desk for a while, but due to some  back surgery is now postponed.

Last Friday, the results came back from my pre-surgery blood work and it turns out I'm anemic.  So, my blood count is too low to handle surgery.  The good news is I would have never known that unless I had these pre-surgery tests done.  So, before I can even set a new date for surgery I'll have to see a hematologist.  Hopefully they will get me healthy enough to proceed with the surgery so I can feel all better.

Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Why do you have to have surgery? I have scoliosis, and I have metal rods on each side of my spine from top to bottom? It was 16 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday? I feel for you, right now with this weather, my back is killing me. I will say a prayer for you.
