The late Michael Jackson once sang the lyrics, "Don't stop till you get enough..."
Well I have gotten enough, coverage of the life and death of Michael Jackson to last me a lifetime. Yes, MJ is a pop genius and I was sad to hear of his passing, but all this unnecessary coverage is over board. I may get some angry comments on this blog, but I can't help it this is too much.
Everyone they interview is saying the same thing, "He was great, wonderful, a pop god." I agree he did break barriers, but what about Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon that passed away over the weekend? Talk about playing second fiddle. Why aren't the news outlets exploiting their deaths as much as MJ's? The news circus reminds me of the death of Anna Nicole Smith. I think yes lets celebrate someones life, but lets do it and move on to all the other news happening around the world. Like I want to know what is happening in Iraq, Iran and the reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee stuck in North Korea. I want news and I don't want entertainment if I want entertainment I will put on my MJ CD and dance around the room. I think all the national news coverage of MJ is going to far, and too much. What are your thoughts?
