I feel like I am brushing the dust off of an old book.
It's been a looooooooooong time since I've blogged, in part because of my well-honed ability to put things off until they just completely disappear from my mind and also getting buried under court dockets, press releases and piles of laundry.
But, I've decided that's no excuse, and I'm putting myself back in the blog saddle, once a week, for the foreseeable future.
And I should have lots to talk about. I've got a great special report airing in May that I'm working on, called "Get Out Alive." The girls are growing like wildflowers, saying and doing cool things every day. Jim and I are approaching our two year wedding anniversary. We've got some major house/land projects simmering on the back burner. I'm going to attempt to keep a flower garden alive this year...for the whole summer. And I've decided I'm challenging myself to do something new, or try something new, each week.
Trying something new, no matter what it is, gives me a sense of accomplishment. Like when I helped Jim build the building in our yard...who knew I could be handy with a chalk string? In my few years in this little world, I've learned that stepping outside my box, ultimately, can lead to a better understanding of who we are and why we work the way we do as human beings. It can also lead to a big time crash and burn...which, in turn, I guess teaches me something, too. Like when I learned I never want to be in charge of towing a vehicle with another vehicle ever. again. for the rest of my life.
AND, this project will hopefully give me something to blog about from time to time.
With that said, I've done nothing new this week. Yet. It's only Tuesday, so I've still got some time.
Maybe I'll try to get all the laundry folded. And put away. That would be something new for me...right, husband? :-)
At any rate, I'm actually looking forward to being back to chronicling "Life with Lauren,"...and ridin' the range once more.
