Brenna's dedicating this blog to animals especially those special pound puppies and kitties!

Hey everyone!

Well, if you didn't know, I'm a BIG, BIG, BIG animal person. I've always loved animals my entire life.  I think my mom instilled the love of animals in me (Thanks, Moma!).  Growing up we always pets.  I had a donkey named Jinx, Holly the hermit crab, Cheepy the finch and your more typical pets like cats and dogs.

My entire life, I have a hard time fathoming how anyone could  intentionally harm a poor, defenseless animal. Or even worse, dumping these animals off the side of the road and leaving them to fend for themselves.  These animals have no voices to say they're being abused or neglected. That's why they need people, more specifically, animals lovers.

I decided to blog about animals, because over the weekend my mom called me to tell me about two stray dogs that somebody had dumped close to our house.  She sent me pictures of these dogs, and let me tell you, I felt so bad for them.  The ribs of these dogs were showing.  But, I think the real reason these two female dogs really tugged on my heartstrings, was due to their sweet personalities.  I'm attaching the pictures of these beautiful dogs to my blog. According to my mom, both walk on a leash very well, they don't jump up and are great around other pets.  They are simply looking for their  "forever home."

Now, that the Mid-Ohio Valley is my home and I'm "on my own," I'm able to have my handsome pound puppy, Hank.  Of course, I want to take home every stray I see not only because I feel like they need my help, as many are malnourished and sick, but I also have found they have a special place in their heart for people who help them.  I think animals know when they're around a pet lover, it's sort of a sixth sense for them.  They perk up and sometimes they gravitate to that person.

If you think about it, pets bring us all some type of happiness.  Coming home everyday and seeing that little tail wag, or to hear the purring from a cat never gets old.

That's why I think we all should "Paws" and thank our little, furry friends for the happiness they bring into our lives. So, a BIG thanks to Hank, Buckeye, Sundance, Riley, Wolfe, Licorice, Marley, Nit-Nat, Little Cat, Blaze and Val for making my life a little happier just because you're in it. (Yes, I have 7 dogs and 3 cats, I wasn't lying.  I'm a BIG animal person!)   I also would like to thank all those of you who work or volunteer at the animal shelters in the Mid-Ohio Valley and to my fellow animal lovers!

I would love to hear from you about your pet or special pet story you'd like to share with me!

And, those two dogs I mentioned earlier are still looking for their "forever home."

Looking for forever home!
