I have a new found love, for something I didn't really ever think I would... I know you're on the edge of you seat waiting to hear what it is.
Well, it's cooking ( probably not what you were hoping for, right?).
Since graduating college and becoming a "big girl", I've had to learn how to cook instead of going out to eat fast food or depending on others to cook for me.
I have become a little Chef, thanks in part to Chef Yancy and our "We're Cooking" contest. Both of whom have wonderful recipes and you should try them! Alan and I get to taste those dishes after the shows which is something we both look forward to!
I love creating new dishes, because I find it rewarding to put time and effort into a dish and then you get to enjoy it after putting in the time! I have to admit I have a special place in my heart for baking! I love to bake cakes, cookies and breads!
Not only am I trying to learn how to cook, but cook and eat healthier things ( I must admit I haven't been able to give up chocolate or Cap'n Crunch cereal).
So far, I've noticed it's a tad bit more expensive to buy healthy items like veggies and fruits, but I think it's worth the extra few dollars in the end. I've been trying to eat at least three servings of fruits and veggies a day.
I've also started to drink green tea with honey instead of coffee in the mornings.
If you have any quick recipes or a tasty recipe you'd like to share I would love to hear from you!
