What great news! This makes me so happy!

Unfortunately, Elizabeth who was featured on WTAP's Pet of The Week on December 31, 2010 is still looking for her "forever home."

She is a very sweet gal!

Here's the link to watch her segment.

Update: 11/23/10

Maryann Hollis from the Humane Society of Parkersburg let me know we have two more "Happy Tails" to report!

Morty and Sweet Pea have both been adopted!  It's so nice to hear that they've found their "forever home."

Also, Scout was adopted after being featured on our Pet of the Week segment!

I look forward to keeping you updated on more "Happy Tails!"

I recently received a note from a viewer, Sherry Fleming, asking if any of the animals from her favorite part of the newscast ( Pet of the Week) had been adopted.

So, I'm sharing some of the success stories with you folks about some of the dogs and cats we featured on WTAP News at Noon.

Maryann Hollis from the Humane Society of Parkersburg says five of the animals from the HSOP that have been on the show have been either adopted or sent to rescue.

Scout who was featured on "Pet of The Week" on August 27, 2010 was sent to a rescue.  You might remember this handsome guy, he is a beagle mix and was very laid back.

Macy who was featured on September 10, 2010 was adopted after folks saw her on tv.  Shelter workers thought she was a mother, but had since bee spayed.

Handsome black and white Bandit who was featured on the show September 24, 2010 went to a rescue.

My Lady, a beautiful Calico kitty was also adopted Hollis said.  She was featured on October 8, 2010.

However, Princess P who was featured on October 23 is still looking for her "forever home," as of October 29, 2010.  Princess is  only about 10 pounds and is cute as a button! Shelter workers say she is Jack Russell terrier.Princess is super friendly and loves to go for a car ride. Shelter workers say she'd best suit a family with older kids but gets along great with other dogs! If you're interested in adopting this cutie pie, she's at the HSOP.

If you want to see any of these happy tails or any of the pets featured on our "Pet of The Week" segment just head over to http://www.wtap.com/petcorner.

I'll bring you information on happy tails from the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley soon and keep updating this blog with more HAPPY TAILS!

I hope you all enjoy these happy tails and always remember to "paws" a second and thank your little four legged friend!

In honor of all the furry friends waiting for their "forever home," I'm going to attach a picture of my pound puppy, Hank aka Mook, who brightens up my life everyday!

P.S. The other little handsome pup named Buckeye you see in this blog is my also my pup!

If you'd like to share a photo of your pet or a story I'd love to hear from you!
