Confession: I'm having a really hard time sticking to blogging. It's not that I don't have thousands of thoughts and ideas and topics rattling around in my head....it's the stringing them all together on the same day, at the same time and in the same space that stumps me.
So, once again, I am going to try harder. (That might be my 6 Word Memoir)
But really, I am. I want to blog. I like to blog. I have ZILLIONS of things to write about. For example, the month that is my birthday, September, was filled with fabulous things- a homemade dragon cake, a trip to the beach, a planned concert of my two most favoritest bands ever, an unplanned concert of my and Jim's favoritest duo ever, a photo with said duo (What's up, Joey + Rory!?), A DRAGON CAKE, and beautiful homemade birthday cards from the girls just to mention a few.
As a matter of fact, right now, Jim and I are in the middle of a bathroom remodel. Actually, Jim's in the middle of a bathroom remodel. I'm in the middle of painting said remodeled walls. And offering moral support and encouragement.
But, regardless the happening, THINGS are happening. And I'm going to be better about talking to the readers about what's going on in the House of Keeling.
One idea I have to make it a little easier to blog is to start linking you all to some of the other blogs I read and look to for inspiration. We're starting this today.
I literally stumbled across this particular blog while reading an article about boots. Once you read it, you'll recognize how bizarre that connection is. But still, it's beautifully written by a mom, named Jennifer Lawler, who colors outside the lines...because that's the life she's been given. Her writing, especially her latest entry, The Greatest Story You'll Ever Tell, is thought provoking. I appreciate anyone who believes that perspective is half the battle...
If you don't read anything else on Lawler's website, Finding Your Voice, I hope you read For Jessica (Linked here: jenniferlawler.com/wordpress/.) If it doesn't touch your heart, well, I'm going to start calling you Chandler Bing.
*DISCLAIMER: While this is a blog I read and typically enjoy, I do not under any circumstance support, accept, live by or approve the content within. Her opinions and thoughts are just that, her opinions and thoughts. Not mine, not the station's, not NBC's....just Jennifer Lawler's.
So, all in all, read, enjoy, share your favorite blogs with me...
Oh, and say a prayer we get this bathroom finished by Friday!
Talk to you sooner rather than later,
PS: I'm trying to be tech savvy and figure out how to link the website without making you click on the actual website name. Bear with me.
