A dramatic cool down is on the way, after rain showers in the MOV.
But no matter when the weather changes, I always hear from people that they were not prepared for it.
It's too hot, it's too cold, What happened to Spring...to Summer...to Fall....(very few ask what happened to Winter).
But every time we see a dramatic temperature shift, a number of people that I run into all talk about it.
It seems that we're never ready for the season to change. And in fact, it is almost never an abrupt change overnight...though people like to complain that it is.
If one were to chart the high and low temperatures over time, you would see a saw-tooth decent into fall, and a saw tooth climb back next Spring. Never to we suddenly drop 30 degrees and stay in the basement.
The exception to this is when there is a polar outbreak in January or February where the temperatures stay below freezing solidly for a week or so, but it is always due to a high pressure center that brings cold polar air in a mass to sit upon our region.
As we turn the corner into October and fall really kicks into high gear, I hope that you all will take some time to enjoy the fall colors, as they are unique to our end of the country, and something that many others never get to see, let alone enjoy.
