Bronx Bombing

The Yankees apparently chose the wrong team to help christen their new home.

A funny thing happened while King Lebron James was dominating the Detroit Pistons Saturday afternoon.

The Cleveland Indians were dismantling His team.

Yes, King James fancies himself a Yankee fan (or, at least, likes to tease the Cleveland faithful into thinking he is).  If he's a true Yankee fan, however, he would be saying the same things New Yorkers are saying about their Yanks (which cannot be used in this blog).

I watched Thursday on Cleveland television as the Bronx Bombers were bombed, 10-2, on the official opening day of the new Yankee Stadium.  Call it the House George (Steinbrenner) Built.

Then, after a late home run downed the Tribe Friday afternoon, the Indians bats were at it again Saturday, demolishing the pinstripes with a 14-RUN second inning.

If the Yankees planned a party this weekend to formally open their new stadium, it must have been organized by Mary Richards.
