102 Minutes that Changed Our World

One of the best documentaries on the Sept. 11th disaster is on the History channel.

I've probably said this before, but it bears repeating.

I'm constantly amazed at the number of people who post videos and claims on Youtube and in other locations, claiming that 9-11 was an inside job...that the towers were rigged ahead of time...that space aliens had a hand in it.

Bull-roar.  A real cottage industry has sprung up, trying to plan miss-information and distort the interpretation of the 9-11 attacks on our country.

But fortunately, there are some excellent programs that preserve the actual event.

Every year, the History Channel repeats the "live-as-it-happened" documentary, "102 Minutes".

The documentary features no narration, and no editing.  It is all raw footage, and raw sound, assembled by the editor into one continuous report in real time of what happened...from the first hijacking, to the final collapse of the second tower....102 Minutes.

It's riveting, compelling, and speaks louder than any other documentary that I've seen of the impact of that terrible morning.

The History Channel is showing it at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. in real time.  It's part of a full day of documentaries and programs that look at Sept. 11th, 2001.

That's the best I can do to observe the tenth anniversary of this event... one of the best documented disasters in our history...in part because it was NYC, and because of the explosion in video cameras and cell phones.
