Feeling Old?

How many times have you heard the elderly complain about the cold?

We've all heard it... older generations complaining about the cold...
How it affects them... how their joints ache... how someone slipped on the ice and broke something.

Well, this week, it's my turn to join those ranks.

No, I still love to ski, but I haven't gone in more than a two months or so.

but last Monday, I got up, did some chores around the house, and then went out to shovel the snow.
I lifted the garage door like I always do, six times a day (literally) and that's when it happened.

A little twinge in my back, which felt like a muscle cramping up.

I stopped, and straightened up, muttering that I'd pulled something and my son would have to do the shoveling without me.

Yeah, fat chance!

As we both started pushing the shovel through the light fluffy snow, I found that only some of the usual moves could be accomplished, and when I really hit a bump or a crack, the resulting shock through my back was a pain to behold!

After the fifth circuit with the shovel, I'd had enough, and hung it up... going inside for some TLC from the wife.

As I tried to climb into bed to get into position for a massage, I found I couldn't lay down without pain.

After five minutes, I found the way down, face first, and got her to rub some relief on the spot. left of the kidney about five inches.

Boy, you'd think that after three days of heat pads and warm moist heat, it would be letting up by now... but it only feels like it has spread.

Anyone with any suggestions on how to shake this bad boy is welcome to tell me.
I'm all ears...
