OK, so it's the second of February again.
Yes, it's Groundhog Day again.
You might think that a weatherperson would celebrate it every year, but I must admit, it always gets me down.
It's a day that everyone has an opinion... short winter, early spring, lack of snow, warm temps.... you name it!
And no one seems to listen to what the weather person actually has to say... we're upstaged by that furry rodent!
Not that I mind a little fun, but so many people seem to miss the joke:
If he sees his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter.
If he doesn't see his shadow, only 6 more weeks until spring.
But, Spring never arrives until March 20th.... 6 weeks away now matter what the rodent says or does!
So, you'll forgive me if I fail to celebrate this day. I'm preparing for the next important holiday... Weatherman Appreciation Day!
