I did a little research into raccoons today.
The question came up, what do you call a collection of raccoons? A warren? No, that's rabbits.
So with a little help from the internet and wikipedia.org we learned that they could be called a "nursery" for younger coons, or, a "gaze".
The reason I ask, my family has trapped over 21 raccoons so far this summer, courtesy of the dog warden who has lent a live trap to us.
It boggles the mind that so many of these scavengers could be living so close to our home in the city, doesn't it?
