We have some changes coming to our TV stations in the next few weeks, that I wanted to give you a heads-up about.
The biggest change is that starting Monday, September 8th, our MyNetwork station will also become the local home of ME-TV.
ME-TV stands for Memorable Entertainment T-V…and it CERTAINLY is that!
Some of the best TV shows from the first 60 years of television are featured all day and all night.
We’ll still have MyNetwork’s prime time line-up but most of the rest of the day and night will be Me-TV.
We’re also going to be changing the name of our My5 channel, to reflect the addition of Me-TV. But you’ll still find it, right where it is now.
I think you’ll love Me-TV!
As a result of this, we won’t be able to show our PinPoint Weather channel overnights on My5, starting Sept. 8.
So, we’ll shift that to WOVA-FOX Parkersburg overnights.
That PinPoint Weather channel is available 24-7, free over the air, on channel 15.4 and on Suddenlink channel 125. But by putting it on FOX Parkersburg overnight, we’ll give folks, who normally can’t see it, a chance to check it out.
And finally, “Cash Cab,” a popular show that has been airing weekdays at Noon on our CBS station, WIYE, will no longer be available to us starting in September. So we’ll replace it with “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” weekdays at Noon on WIYE-CBS.
With the new season comes LOTS of program changes but these are just a few that I wanted to make sure to pass along to you.
And as always, thanks for watching WTAP, WIYE, WOVA and for checking out TheNewsCenter.tv.
