Freeze Warning for Area Saturday Night

Update: 4 p.m. Saturday 4/20/2013

The National Weather Service has upgraded to a Freeze WARNING for the MOV as the event is now within 12 hours. The same area is under the warning for freezing temperatures overnight. Tender vegetation is at risk. Plants should be moved indoors or covered with cloth or insulation tonight.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A FREEZE WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.

* TIMING...LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

* IMPACTS...SENSITIVE PLANTS COULD BE DAMAGED OR KILLED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE. THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
