Cyndi Murray joined the WTAP news team in September 2011 as Daybreak producer and reporter.
Cyndi grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of with a degree in Communication / Broadcast Journalism from Suffolk University in Boston. She comes to WTAP from Wareham, MA, where she's worked as a multimedia journalist for the newspaper, “Wareham Week,” and its website, WarehamVillageSoup.com.
Before that, she interned as a reporter for “The Queens Chronicle,” a community newspaper serving Queens, NY. She also interned at WCVB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Boston.
When she not chasing down a story or producing a newscast, she enjoys reading, baking, cheering on the Red Sox, and spending time with family and friends. She is really looking forward to enjoying all that the Mid-Ohio Valley has to offer. If you see her on the street say "hello."
In July 2012, she became a production assistant for Fox News Channel in the Greater New York City Area for nine months.
After that, she then became a reporter for Times/Review Media Group in Mattituck, New York. She worked there for almost two and a half years.
In May 2015, she became the Communications Coordinator for the Perfect Earth Project in New York, New York.
