COLUMBUS, Ohio (Washington Post) - Ohio health officials say more than 600 people were sickened after they ate at a Chipotle Mexican Grill in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
According to the Washington Post, the Delaware General Health District says 624 people who ate at a Chipotle in Powell, Ohio between July 26 and July 30 reported gastrointestinal symptoms to the health district office.
Chipotle says as soon as the sicknesses were reported, it closed the restaurant for 24 hours, replaced all the food, cleaned, and sanitized the restaurant.
The Delaware General Health District says they are waiting on lab results to determine the cause of the illness.
The health district also says there have been no further reports of customers of that Chipotle restaurant getting sick since the restaurant reopened.
