A Parkersburg woman is dead after a single vehicle accident in Wood County.

WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. (WTAP) - A Parkersburg woman is dead after a single vehicle accident in Wood County.

Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens says 28 year-old Natasha Treadway died in the accident which happened around 2:00 am Thursday morning.

32 year-old Eddie Cunningham was also injured in the accident. He was taken to a hospital in Columbus.

According to Stephens, Treadway and Cunningham were traveling southbound on I-77 in a black 2004 Dodge Ram truck. Near the 184 mile marker the truck began to slide sideways into the median and then into the northbound lane. The truck then rolled twice ejecting both people.

It is not known who was driving at this time.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department and St. Joe’s Ambulance Service all responded to the scene.

Sergeant Brett Pickens and the Wood County Crash Team are investigating the accident.
