Accident by intersection of 6th and Juliana Street

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP)- Two people were hurt in a 2-vehicle crash in Parkersburg today.

Parkersburg Police say at 10 a.m. they responded to a crash at the intersection of 6th and Juliana Streets.

A vehicle with two occupants was traveling east on 6th street when it was hit by a vehicle with one occupant who ran a red light at the Juliana Street intersection.

Police say both people in the vehicle hit were taken to the hospital with injuries and one occupant had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters.

The driver who ran the red light was not injured but was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
