Police release names of 3 dead, 2 hurt in crash on U.S. 33 in Meigs County

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - UPDATE: 5/17/2018, 4:20 P.M.

Police have released the names of three people killed and two injured on Thursday morning in a crash on U.S. 33 in Meigs County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 10:58 A.M. Thursday on U.S. Route 33 in Meigs County, near mile post 29, between State Route 124 and the Ravenswood Bridge.

Police say a 2018 Toyota Rav4, driven by Brooks Boulware, 80, of Clemmons, N.C., was traveling west on U.S. 33 when it crossed the median and crashed head-on into a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer, driven by Kenneth Millender, 35, of Hasperia, California.

Three other people, Maxine Boulware, 78, William Brame, 73, and Dorothy Brame, 66, all of Clemmons, North Carolina, were also in the Rav4.

Maxine Boulware and William Brame were pronnounced dead at the scene.

Dorothy Brame was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Brooks Boulware was flown to Cabel-Huntington Hospital, where he is being treated for incapacitating injuries.

Millender was treated for minor injuries at the crash scene.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have released new details on Thursday's crash that killed two people and hurt three people on Route 33 in Meigs County.

Troopers say two people who died and two others who were seriously injured in the crash are all from North Carolina.

The crash happened just before Noon on Thursday, when a semi and car crashed on U.S. 33, between State Route 124 and the Ravenswood Bridge.

Investigators say it appears the car went left of center, and the semi swerved to avoid hitting the car, but they crashed into each other.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A fifth person, the semi driver, has minor injuries.

Names of the victims have not been released yet.

Officers are reconstruction the scene. The road could remain closed for several hours.

Two people are dead, two have been flown to the hospital and a fifth person has minor injuries after a crash in Meigs County.

The crash happened just before Noon on Thursday, when a semi and car crashed on U.S. 33, between State Route 124 and the Ravenswood Bridge.

Sheriff Keith Wood said the semi driver has minor injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is the lead investigating agency.

Sheriff's deputies and the Racine Fire Department are on scene as well.

EMS officials say the road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

The Meigs County sheriff confirms that two people are dead after a crash on U.S. 33.

Sheriff Keith Wood says there are two deaths and other victims have been flown to a hospital.

The accident is between State Route 124 and the Ravenswood Bridge.

EMS officials say the road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
