BELPRE, Oh.-(WTAP) WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center has now expanded into Ohio.

The hospital officially opened its first primary care medical office Wednesday in Belpre.

The office has been accepting patients for the past two weeks.

It offers services with a goal toward preventative care for Belpre and nearby residents.

"And I want to give everything I can to this community," said Dr. Marcella Rugel-Aizprua, the primary care physician leading the office, "to keep it healthy and go less to the hospital and ER visits. Keep a healthy community."

Camden Clark says it's considering other locations for expansion.

"Right now, we have an ambulatory surgery center and this primary care center," according to President/CEO Steve Altmiller, "and we are looking for growth in Ohio, to provide access and choice to this part of the river."

The office is located in the newly-built complex off U.S. Route 50 and Farson Street, surrounded by other medical offices.
