PARKERSBURG, W,Va.-(WTAP) Camden Clark Medical Center has a new system for its patients and employees to access records.
As of Wednesday, November 1, the hospital switched to an updated computerized records system.
It promises smoother access by hospital workers to patient registration, and insurance information, among other features.
The main reason for the upgrade: the hospital's affiliation with the WVU Medicine network.
"Being part of the EPIC system gives us an opportunity to send our patients directly to Ruby (Memorial Hospital), and have that record follow them seamlessly," says Josh Woods, Information Site Technology Administrator. "So it gives us a better connections with our colleagues in the health system."
