PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Love was in the air on this Valentine’s Day, as Crown Florals in Parkersburg says they had more than 400 orders placed for Wednesday.
Normally Crown Florals has their deliveries all out by 5 p.m., but one driver says today they'll work until every order is delivered.
Rachelle Duncan says she delivered at least 30 flower arrangements or sweet treats by 1:30 this afternoon.
Duncan says many women she delivered to were shocked when she arrived with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, because they say their husbands don’t usually do anything for Valentine’s Day.
The local business had four different delivery drivers out working to make sure everyone across the Mid-Ohio Valley received their order for cupid's day.
"I love it, I like to see the smiles on people's faces when you bring them something that they don't expect. The majority, well basically everything I’ve delivered, has had roses in it. I delivered one that wasn't roses. But roses are the flower of choice for today."
Duncan delivered everywhere from houses to hospitals, nursing homes, local businesses and corporate chains, all in hopes of making someone's day.
