Down power line causes traffic backup in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) Traffic was backed up this afternoon after a power line went down in Parkersburg.

It happened on East and Mary street around 12:30 p.m.

According to Mon Power's website, as many as 1,500 customers were without power due to equipment damage.

Several stop lights went out as well, and Parkersburg police officers assisted with traffic.

The power was restored around 2p.m. this afternoon.
