CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Dozens of vehicles have flat tires along the West Virginia Turnpike from Kanawha to Raleigh County.

A spokesperson with WV Turnpike Authority tells WSAZ a truck lost several small pieces of metal on the road.

At least 40 vehicles now have flat tires.

Right now, one southbound lane is closed in the area, starting at Sharon.

The WV Turnpike Authority says officials know what truck dropped the metal and they're working to clear the road now.
