MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) - As the recovery from a historic fire in Wood County begins, a large fire continues to burn at a dairy farm across the river.
Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood says a fire started around 2 a.m. on Saturday at a barn at Holter's Holstein Farms in Meigs County.
Seven fire departments responded to the fire, which Wood says was the result of combustion in the hay bales.
He says they're letting the bales burn out, which could take days.
There were no reported injuries, but the barn was destroyed.
Chester's fire department remains at the scene to monitor the flames and keep anything from spreading.
