Clarence Mingo spoke this afternoon at the Washington County Republican Women's group meeting.

Mingo brings nearly three decades of public service to his campaign for Ohio State Treasurer.

Mingo's vision is to transform the state treasurer's role through innovation and transparency, t fuel job growth and Ohio's financial prosperity in the years ahead.

"I want voters to understand that I am a conservative Republican who believes strongly that conservative principles are good for the people of the state," says Clarence Mingo. "It's one thing to say that but it's another thing to employ those methods in such away that's good for Republicans, good for conservatives, but also good for others who disagree. I think conservative policies work not just for white Americans, not just for black Americans, for all Americans and most especially for all Ohioans."

Mingo added the solution to the tragedy in Charlottesville will not be found in government.

He says it will be Americans coming together through love and fellowship.
