Harrisville man treated at CCMC after 2-vehicle crash on Rt. 50

PENNSBORO, W.Va. (WTAP) - A two-vehicle crash on Route 50 in Ritchie County sent one man to a Parkersburg hospital Monday morning.

Kenneth Cornell, 51, of Harrisvile, was treated and released at Camden Clark Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesman.

The Ritchie County sheriff’s office says Cornell was trapped in his vehicle, which turned onto its side after being hit at the intersection of Route 50 and Bunnells Run Road.

Deputies say Sandra Doak, 54, of Alma, W.Va., was attempting to cross Route 50 when she failed to yield to Cornell’s 2018 Toyota Tundra as he was driving east on Route 50.

Doak was not injured in the crash.

The Pennsboro, Ellenboro and Harrisville fire departments responded to the scene.
