UPDATE: Power restored to hundreds affected by outage in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 02/11/18 8:00 P.M.

As of 8 p.m. Sunday evening, power has been restored to those affected by the outage.


ORIGINAL STORY: 02/11/18 7:50 P.M.

A supervisor at the Wood County 911 Center confirms a transformer blew out near 25th Street and Dudley Avenue in Parkersburg Sunday evening. As a result, hundreds of Mon Power customers are without power.

According to Mon Power's website, between 500 and 1,500 customers are affected by the outage. Crews are on scene investigating the problem. The estimated restoration time is 10:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
