PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - While a ticket holder in Florida won $450 million in the Mega Million jackpot just Friday night, hundreds in the Mid-Ohio Valley hoped they'll have the same luck Saturday night in the Powerball.
A worker at the People's News on Division Street said its practically all she did during her shift Saturday; just sell power ball tickets.
The jackpot is worth $570 million, which is a whopping $347.9 million cash value. The jackpot has rolled over 20 times since October.
One Mid-Ohio Valley resident bought three tickets but she says they're not for her.
"I just hope I win. I don't need it anyways, it's for my mom. She needs it more than me, and even if I would win it'd go to her. Hope this is the winning one. One of these are the big winners y'all. I'm gonna win."
At 11 p.m. five white balls were drawn out of a drum with 69 balls and one red ball out of a drum with 26 red balls. Just maybe the winner will be in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
