VIENNA, W.Va. (WTAP) - A Vienna man was arrested and arraigned on a drug charge after police searched his 15th Avenue home on Tuesday.
At 9:30 P.M. Tuesday, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Vienna Police Department executed a search warrant at a home on 15th Avenue in Vienna, as part of an investigation into alleged distribution of methamphetamine.
Inside the home, police found digital scales, packaging and other evidence of selling drugs.
A resident of the home, 28-year-old Stanford N. Gibson, was arrested and charged with one felony count of delivery of methamphetamine, which carries a prison sentence of 1-15 years if convicted.
Gibson was arraigned today in Wood County Magistrate Court, where his bond was set at $15,000 cash.
The Parkersburg Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Parkersburg Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Vienna Police Department, Williamstown Police Department and the West Virginia State Police.
