Parkersburg, W.Va. (WTAP) - Update: 5/22/2018
Plenty of people are interested in working for Hino Motors when it opens its Parkersburg truck manufacturing plant early next year.
On Tuesday morning alone, 40 people came to Manpower's Parkersburg office on Emerson Avenue to apply and interview for jobs at the new Hino Motors plant in Parkersburg.
And Manpower plans more hiring sessions before Hino's opening in early 2019.
"We'll definitely be hiring for all the clients we service," says Katie Kelly, Parkersburg Market Manager. "Not just truck assembly, but groundswork, laborers, welders, all kinds of receptionists and administrative positions as well."
Kelly says Manpower will continue to take applications at its office (at 304-485-0088) and at www.manpower.com, for those unable to make it to Tuesday's open house.
On Tuesday, employment agency Manpower will host open interviews to fill 100 positions at the new Hino Motors truck plant in Parkersburg.
Manpower, located at 1047 Emerson Avenue in Parkersburg, will host an Open House and Open Interview Day on Tuesday, May 22, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The public is invited to apply and interview for one of 100 positions that Hino Motors is looking to fill by this summer.
The new plant is scheduled to start building trucks in early 2019 at the former Coldwater Creek facility in Parkersburg.
