Marietta Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau hires new leader

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - The Marietta Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired a new leader.

On Monday, the Marietta Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau says it has hired Deana Clark, of Beverly, Ohio, to be its new Executive Director.

Clark is currently the General Manager of Burr Oak Lodge and is the former CVB Director for Morgan County, Ohio.

Clark will begin working in her new position on Dec. 4, 2017.

Cheri Seevers, Board President of the Marietta Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said:

“We are extremely pleased that Deana accepted this position. We had a search committee comprised of Board members, a representative from our marketing firm and a representative from our membership. We reviewed several resumes and conducted numerous interviews with one goal in mind, and that was to find the right fit for Marietta and Washington County. We feel that we were successful in achieving that goal and are excited for her to get started. We have a wonderful tourism product to promote in Marietta and Washington County and are committed to utilize all of the CVB’s resources to attract visitors to the area."
