Multiple Drug Arrests in Marietta made by Task Force

Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, and the Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force conducted an investigation that resulted in arrests for drug trafficking within 1000 feet of a school, along with other charges.

On Thursday, January 25th, agents executed a search warrant at 804 Front Street in Marietta, at a camper in the back yard, being the residence of Melissa and Terry Gibson Jr.

Agents located Gina Karcher and Terry Gibson inside the camper, sitting at the kitchen table, Brandon Loy sitting on a couch, and Melissa Gibson was located hiding under covers in the bed.

On the kitchen table agents located a plastic baggie with approximately 1 gram of suspected methamphetamine, multiple plastic baggies, a metal spoon with residue, syringes, and a plastic cap with residue.

Agents also located an uncapped syringe with 1.5 ml of suspected methamphetamine on the coach where Loy had been sitting.

Agents began a search of the subjects and found Loy with a purse concealed on her person which contained four plastic 1”x1” baggies of suspected methamphetamine. Authorities say the amount was 2.36 grams.

Upon searching the actual residence at 804 Front Street, agents made contact with a male subject along with Suzanne Tucker, in an inebriated state. A search of Tucker’s person revealed a blue plastic container with suspected methamphetamine.

Agents conducted a field test of the suspected methamphetamine with positive results.

Gina Marie Loy, age 30, 1201 County House Lane, Lot C, Marietta, OH, was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine within a 1000 feet of a school zone, a 3rd degree felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a 5th degree felony.

Brandon Lee Loy, age 21, 3829 Independence Road, Cleveland, OH, was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school zone, a 3rd degree felony, possession of methamphetamine, a 5th degree felony, and conveyance into a detention facility, a 3rddegree felony.

Terry Mitchell Gibson Jr., age 37, 804 Front Street, Marietta, OH, was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school zone, a 3rd degree felony, possession of methamphetamine, a 5th degree felony, and permitting drug abuse, a 5th degree felony.

Melissa Dawn Gibson, age 37, 804 Front Street, Marietta, OH, was arrested for permitting drug abuse, a 5th degree felony.

Suzanne Marie Tucker, age 34, 804 Front Street, Marietta, OH, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a 5th degree felony.

All subjects were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Upon entry into the jail subjects were informed of conveyance laws. Brandon Loy was found to be in possession of approximately .36 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

All individuals appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on Thursday January 26th and the following bonds were set.

Gina Loy, $20,000 bond

Brandon Loy, $10,000 and $15,000 bond

Terry Gibson Jr., $10,000 bond

Melissa Gibson, $2,500 bond

Suzanne Tucker, $1,000 bond.
