PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The West Virginia Division of Highways says part of WV Route 47/Staunton Turnpike will be closed through Tuesday, June 12, for a culvert replacement project.

According to the The West Virginia Division of Highways, WV Route 47/Staunton Turnpike will be closed between the west end of Wood Co. Route 47/17/River Road and Wood Co. Route 7/Walker Road, at milepost 8.73, from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Monday, June 11-Tuesday, June 12, as Division of Highways workers construct a culvert replacement.

Flagging personnel will be in the work zone to maintain traffic flow, but delays of up to 30 minutes are possible on WV Route 47/Staunton Turnpike near the work zone.

The Division of Highways says drivers should plan to use alternate routes to get around this construction zone, if possible.
