BELPRE, Ohio (WTAP) - Christmas came early in Belpre, as dozens of pets and their owners took pictures with Santa. The 10th annual Paws with Claus for a Cause was held today at the Belpre Volunteer Fire Department Bingo Hall.
More than 70 pets came to tell Santa what kind of treats they wanted this year. It featured dogs, cats and even a pair of guinea pigs.
All proceeds raised benefit The Max Fund. A charity that remembers pets that have passed, supports pets in need and rescues animals.
The Max Fund is named after Sharon Davidson’s dog. She says, "It’s dog therapy for me, and they all have such wonderful personalities and they are all different and they get so excited when they come here and yet they behave pretty well when they get back here. So it's just kind of fun to see healthy happy dogs and know that seeing them makes it possible for us to do stuff for other dogs."
The photos were $10 for two 4x6 prints or $15 for multiple pets or children.
