Road work to cause delays in Jackson, Pleasants, Wood counties

CHARLESTON, WV - Road work will cause lane closures and delays on 3 roads and bridges in Jackson, Pleasants and Wood counties in October and November.

The West Virginia Division of Highways says work will begin on the following roads on the following dates:

Monday, Oct. 9-Thursday, Oct. 12 in St. Marys/Pleasants County:

Various lane closures will take place on the Hi Carpenter Memorial Bridge (St. Marys Bridge), as crews conduct a routine inspection of the bridge.

This work will be done daily from 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., and only minor traffic delays are expected.

Wednesday, Oct. 11-Nov. 17 in Jackson County:

Crews will repave 4.14 miles of WV Route 2, in both directions, from the Mason County line to the intersection of WV 62 towards Ripley.

This work will be done daily from 7:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and only minor traffic delays are expected.

Thursday, Oct. 12-Nov. 17 in Wood County:

Crews will repave 3.31 miles of WV Route 31, in both directions, between the intersections of U.S. 50 and Wood Co. Road 2/1 (Bull Creek Road).

This work will be done daily from 7:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and only minor traffic delays are expected.
