UPDATE: Missing Calhoun County boy returns home, mom tells 911

GRANTSVILLE, W.Va. - UPDATE: 05/24/17 9:30 A.M.

A 12-year old boy reported missing in Calhoun County early Tuesday morning is back home.

Calhoun County 911 dispatchers say the boy's mother called them about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, letting them know he had returned home safely.

The boy, identified as Dylan Edwards, was reported missing around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. The family lives in the Lost Ridge area.

No other details have been made available.


Emergency crews are searching for a missing 12-year-old boy in Calhoun County.

That's according to the Calhoun County sheriff's department and the 911 center.

The search began early Tuesday afternoon.

Neither the sheriff's department or the 911 center was able to say specifically where crews are searching.

The sheriff's department did indicate that it's a rural area with little to no cellphone service.

No other information is available at this time.
