SOUTH PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Police say a young boy is in the hospital after coming into contact with a car. It happened at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at Ward Place off Elder Street in south Parkersburg.
The three-year-old somehow made contact with a woman pulling out of a driveway. Investigators say he has broken ribs and a collapsed lung. They say he'll most likely be transferred from Camden Clark Medical Center to another hospital.
Police say he has no tire marks on his body, so they don't believe he was run over. They're still investigating how he and the driver of the car crossed paths.
At this point in the investigation, the driver has not been charged.
