BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. - After a day-long manhunt, two West Virginians have been arrested and face multiple charges.

Boone County, WV deputies arrested 18-year old Lucas Watson of Hamlin and a 17-year old boy just before midnight Monday.

The two are charged with attempted malicious assault on a police officer and attempted breaking and entering.

Both were arrested in Lincoln County, WV.

The arrests come after Boone County Sheriff's deputies responded early Monday morning to an in-progress, breaking-and-entering incident at K & E Exxon gas station off U.S. 119. The store was closed at the time.

Deputies say as the two tried to get away, one jumped out the vehicle and ran into the woods. They say the other tried to run over deputies, prompting one to shoot at the suspect.

Investigators say that suspect then jumped out of the vehicle and ran away on foot.
