Two dead, one injured after crash involving DOH mower on I-77 in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, WV - 10/12/17, 11:15 A.M.

Two people have died after a crash involving a vehicle and a DOH mower on I-77 in Jackson County.

WVDOH says both of the victims were found in the passenger vehicle.

According to WVDOH, a mower was traveling on the shoulder of I-77 North and was hit by a passenger vehicle which caught fire.

The DOH operator has been taken to the hospital.

The worker was alert, but has a serious head injury.

I-77 North in the area of the 128 mile marker is expected to be closed for several hours.

Drivers on I-77 northbound are being detoured at the Kenna exit at mile marker 124.
