Two people hospitalized after crash on Juliana Street

PARKERSBURG, WV - Two people were hurt, and one had to be cut out of the vehicle, after a 2-vehicle crash in Parkersburg on Wednesday.

Parkersburg Police say at 10:02 A.M. Wednesday, they responded to a crash at the intersection of 6th Street and Juliana Street in downtown Parkersburg.

A vehicle with 2 occupants was traveling east on 6th Street, when it was hit by a vehicle with one occupant that ran a red light at the Juliana Street intersection.

Police say both people in the vehicle that was hit were taken to the hospital with injuries, and one occupant had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters.

The driver who ran the red light was not injured, but was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
