Vienna Police still looking for driver in hit-and-run incident

VIENNA, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 01/18/18 1:30 P.M.

Police in Vienna are continuing to look for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident Wednesday afternoon.

The incident involving two other vehicles happened about 3 p.m. in the 2500-block of Grand Central Avenue near Community Bank.

Police says the 2008 Chevy Trailblazer struck one vehicle and then was hit from behind by another vehicle.

Police Chief MIke Pifer says the driver fled the scene, but the vehicle, which apparently was stolen from a Parkersburg car dealership, was found abandoned a short time later in a driveway off 39th Street.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

Vienna Police say they're looking for a driver that reportedly abandoned a car shortly after a hit and run.

It happened at 2:48 p.m. on the 25-hundred block of Grand Central Avenue Wednesday. That's near Community Bank. Police say the person hit was not taken to the hospital.

They say the Chevy Trailblazer was stolen from a Parkersburg car dealership. It was found abandoned shortly after around 3:00 p.m.

Vienna Police are still looking to find the reported driver.
