WV DEP awards recycling grants to groups in the Mid-Ohio Valley

CHARLESTON, WV (WTAP) - The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection has awarded $1.3 million in recycling grants to 23 recipients across the state, including some in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

In Wood County, the Latrobe Street Mission in Parkersburg was awarded $26,234 for equipment, supplies and personnel for its recycling project.

The Pleasants County Solid Waste Authority received $40,500 to operate its county-wide recycling program.

And Calhoun County was awarded $149,412 to build a new roof and conveyor for the Cabot Recycling Station in Grantsville.
