WV Governor Justice angry about Senate's taxpayer-funded bathroom upgrades

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - West Virginia Governor Jim Justice said Wednesday that the state Senate should use taxpayer money to fund drug treatment centers, instead of upgrading their bathroom facilities.

Governor Justice also said if the facilities are so bad for lawmakers he was happy "to get them an outhouse delivered to the Capitol grounds."

Senate President Mitch Carmichael appeared on MetroNews's "Talkline" Wednesday morning and said the statement was ridiculous and that "the man (Justice) has lost his mind."

Carmichael told host Hoppy Kercheval he wouldn't withhold criticism from the governor anymore.

"When you're talking about making the people's house ADA compliant and this guy shows cow feces and owes the state $4.5 million, I mean, come on," Carmichael said on "Talkline."
